We use pyrethrum insecticide, which has been approved for use in and around food processing plants and restaurants. We use the pyrethrum based chemicals VectorBan-Plus™ and Riptide on the majority of our insect and mosquito misting systems.

Pyrethrum is clear, free of allergens, and also has a low toxicity level. It is water based and biodegradable, leaving behind no residue to your gardens or landscaping. It is a natural insecticide that protects chrysanthemum flowers from different types of plant eating insects. They do not build up immunity to pyrethrum (as they do other chemicals) and synthetic compounds that are potentially dangerous to humans. Pyrethrum is so safe that the U. S. government approves its use on insect-prone foods such as tomatoes, even while they are on their way to your local supermarket or processing plant.

When used according to the label instructions, the insecticide is considered non-toxic to all mammals, including your beloved family pets! Pyrethrum insecticides have been used in agriculture and equine applications for a quarter century with no known harmful effects. Yes. Almost all insects are killed or repelled by pyrethrum including mosquitoes, flies, spiders, roaches, gnats, fleas, ticks, and roosting wasps. Other insects that typically attack vegetable gardens are also repelled by pyrethrum. These include: aphids, beetles, leafhoppers, and certain caterpillars.

Home or business front and backyards, pool areas, playgrounds, outdoor kitchens, school playgrounds and fields, restaurant patios, zoos, veterinary clinics, commercial trash areas, equine facilities, bovine housing, and poultry houses all can use automatic insect control systems!

Our installations typically take one full day of labor with two technicians. Of course, this will vary depending on the size of the installation (the number of nozzles being installed) and the physical location of the install.

All brand new installations come with a one year warranty on the system (pump, motor, control box, lid). All nozzle tip replacements, chemical refills, leak detection and repairs, and the intake filter will also be placed under warranty should you choose to become a monthly customer of ours.

If you are not a new installation customer, the system itself is under warranty for one year after the installation date. Any system replacements done after the one year mark will be charged accordingly, however you will then be covered under warranty for however long you remain a customer of Mosquito Management Systems.

Let nature be your guide! In the early spring and summer, 2-3 times a day for 45-60 seconds should be adequate for most systems. As different pests swarm or become active with weather changes, you may increase or decrease the number of sprays you use. You should never exceed 6 spray times per 24-hour period.

The frequency of re-filling your system will depend upon the number of nozzles, the number of sprays per 24 hours, the severity of the insect problem and the length of each spray cycle.

All systems are equipped with an automatic shut off that keeps the system from running when the tank is dry, therefore protecting your pump from being destroyed. The system shuts itself off when the liquid level is too low. Keep in mind, every system is different! If you notice any changes in your chemical or are noticing you require more frequent fills, let us know!

To guarantee your system is running correctly, we recommend that all system maintenance should be done by Mosquito Management Systems. There are several different tasks that require constant attention to ensure your system is running perfectly for your home!

These include chemical fills, nozzle tip replacements (or nozzle filter replacements), line maintenance and upkeep, intake filter cleanings and replacements, leak repairs, pump and motor maintenance (and replacements if necessary), remote programming, spray time setting, plus including all of the wiring that needs to be in place to assure there are no technical mistakes.
